Hypertension and Work Stress among City Hall Workers, Bohicon, Benin

Introduction: In the general population as well in workplace, hypertension is one of main causes morbidity and mortality world. The particularities world work remain little studied. objective this study was to determine prevalence factors associated with among workers a town hall Benin 2019. Methods: This descriptive, analytical cross-sectional conducted from December 2018 January A comprehensive recruitment conducted. Data were collected during face-to-face interview, supplemented by measurement anthropometric parameters blood pressure stress assessment. Frequencies compared using chi-square test Fisher’s test. significance level 5%. Results: total 86 included. Their mean age 41.55 ± 9.82 years sex ratio 6.1. estimated be 18.6% [95% CI: 11.96% - 29.75%]. Hypertension higher under (41.18%) opposed non-stressed (14.49%) (p = 0.032); those who overweight (30.77) non-overweight (2.94%) < 0.001); family history (38.10%) non- stressed (13.85%) 0.034). Conclusion: Work obesity are modifiable at Bohicon city hall. These deserve corrected occupational health promotion prevention actions.
